Kars (Turkiye News) Under the military cooperation agreement between Azerbaijan and Turkey, a joint military exercise titled “Heydar Aliyev 2026” is currently underway, during which a Distinguished Visitors’ Day was held in the Turkish city of Kars.
According to Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense, personnel from the Azerbaijani Armed Forces and representatives of the military attaché office in Turkey participated in the event.
At the beginning of the ceremony, participants were given a detailed briefing on modern military weapons, combat equipment, and the deployment of units as well as phased operational activities during the exercise.
Later, the guests observed the drills from the command post, while various practical training activities were also carried out in the field.
At the conclusion of the event, personnel who demonstrated outstanding performance in the exercise were awarded honors, and commemorative photographs were taken.
