Washington (Monitoring Desk): The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has praised the Lebanese Army for discovering an underground tunnel belonging to Hezbollah for the second time in the past two months.
In a statement, CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper said that eliminating tunnels used by non-state actors to store ammunition, missiles, and suicide drones is vital for peace and stability in Lebanon and the wider region.
Admiral Cooper stated that this achievement reflects the professional capabilities of the Lebanese Army. He also commended the role of the US-led technical team assisting in the implementation of agreements between Israel and Lebanon.
The statement added that such operations help reduce security threats and contribute to strengthening regional stability.
