Tehran (Monitoring Desk): Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed that in response to attacks in southern Iran, US military bases in the region were targeted.
According to Iranian media, the IRGC stated that the US Fifth Fleet stationed in Bahrain was also targeted in a drone attack in response to American strikes. The statement added that if US actions continue, retaliatory measures will become more severe and widespread.
Iranian authorities alleged that the United States carried out attacks on several areas in southern Iran, including Jask, Sirik, and Qeshm Island. As a result of these attacks, a telecommunications tower in the Sirik area was damaged, and two water storage tanks were also destroyed.
Iran described these actions as a violation of its sovereignty and stated that it reserves the right to respond to any potential military aggression.
On the other hand, no official response has yet been issued by US authorities regarding the Iranian claim of a drone attack on the American naval fleet in Bahrain.
