Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman Criticizes Government, Raises Concerns Over Afghan Policy

Rawalpindi (Turkiya News): Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan (JUI-P) chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman has sharply criticized the government, expressing concerns over Pakistan’s Afghan policy and broader foreign policy.

Addressing the JUI-P Youth Convention in Rawalpindi, he stated that “not a single pomegranate comes from Afghanistan, but terrorists are entering. If they are coming, who has stopped them?”

He also condemned the legitimacy of the current government, claiming that the results of the elections two years ago were rejected and that the present government rules on a “fake mandate.” Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman emphasized that JUI-P is not seeking power for itself but is pursuing politics based on the constitution and facts.

He further criticized coalition politics, calling government formations by combining certain parties a mockery of democracy and politics. The JUI-P leader also targeted the Election Commission, stating that the “puppet-like” commission and manipulated elections are unacceptable, while affirming that the party continues to guide the public through reason and moderation.
