Turkey’s Intelligence Agency Arrests Two Suspected Mossad Agents

Istanbul (Turkiya News): Turkey’s National Intelligence Organization (MIT) has arrested two individuals on suspicion of spying for Israel’s Mossad.

According to security officials, the arrests of Mehmet Bodak Derya and Vesel Kerimolu were made during a complex investigative operation codenamed MONITUM. The operation was carried out in coordination with the Istanbul Chief Attorney’s Office and the Counter-Terrorism Police.

Sources said that Mehmet Bodak Derya, a mining engineer, attracted Israeli intelligence attention due to his involvement in international marble trade after opening a marble mine in 2005. In 2012, he was reportedly introduced to Mossad agents through a person identified as “Ali Ahmed Yasin.”
