Baku (Turkey News) A total of 1,279 foreigners submitted applications for permanent residence permits or their renewal in Azerbaijan during the first quarter of 2026, from January to March.
According to the State Migration Service, during this period the highest number of applications were received from citizens of Russia, Georgia, and Türkiye, who are seeking permanent residency or renewal of their status.
Officials said that under the country’s migration laws, the verification of applications is ongoing and all cases are being processed in accordance with the established legal procedures.
According to experts, due to increasing economic activity and regional connectivity in Azerbaijan, there has been a continuous rise in interest among foreigners in obtaining permanent residency.
