Tel Aviv (Monitoring Desk) An increase in incidents of sexual violence and harassment against Palestinian civilians has been reported in the occupied West Bank.
According to observers, such incidents are in some areas being used as a form of pressure to force Palestinian families to leave their homes.
International media sources report that a resident from the Jordan Valley area stated that during one incident, an attack on a settlement resulted in civilians being subjected to violence and harassment, along with threats to leave the area.
Affected individuals say they are now forced to live in a state of severe mental stress and fear following these incidents.
According to a long-term report, several families facing displacement have stated that harassment and threats against women and children have been a major reason for leaving their areas, however many incidents remain unreported due to fear and social pressure.
In various areas, women and children reportedly face daily harassment, forcing some women to abandon education and employment.
