Venue of Iran-US Agreement Signing Ceremony Changed, To Be Held in Switzerland

Geneva (Monitoring Desk): The venue of the signing ceremony for the historic agreement between Iran and United States has been changed in Switzerland.

The ceremony will now be held at the Bürgenstock Resort on June 19 instead of Geneva. According to the Swiss Foreign Ministry, the location is situated near Lucerne in central Switzerland and is considered more secure due to its geographical setting.

The Foreign Ministry stated that the venue proposal was suggested by Pakistan and Qatar, along with both the United States and Iran.

According to sources, Pakistan will host this historic agreement ceremony, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to depart on Thursday for the event. He will be accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister and other federal ministers.

Reports indicate that Iran will be represented by the Speaker of Parliament and chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, while the United States may be represented by Vice President JD Vance. US President Donald Trump has also signaled the possibility of attending the ceremony.

According to the Qatari Foreign Ministry, Qatar has remained continuously involved in the mediation process and will also be represented at the ceremony, while regional countries will participate in the diplomatic process led by Pakistan.
