Islamabad (Turkiye Khabar): According to security sources, terrorist elements active in Balochistan and their facilitators are attempting to create obstacles in the way of the province’s development, prosperity, and stability.
The sources stated that during a media briefing, a senior security official in Balochistan said that anti-Pakistan elements are engaged in creating and promoting a negative narrative against the state. However, such activities are largely confined to social media platforms and do not reflect the realities on the ground.
According to security sources, thousands of kilometers of highways and roads across Balochistan witness heavy daily traffic, while terrorist elements occasionally attempt to exaggerate isolated incidents in order to create a negative perception of the province’s situation.
The sources said that facilitators and handlers based abroad systematically use such content for anti-Pakistan propaganda. According to them, some extremist groups have also adopted a strategy of using women to achieve their objectives, a practice that is being described as contrary to local traditions and social values.
Security sources stated that efforts are continuing in Balochistan to ensure public welfare through development projects, transparent distribution of funds, and timely implementation of initiatives.
They further said that the Reko Diq project and other mineral development projects are of significant importance for the province’s economic growth and public prosperity. The revenue and royalties generated from these projects can play a substantial role in the development of Balochistan.
According to the sources, the production, processing, and export of mineral resources contribute not only to the local economy but also to national development, while the progress of Balochistan is regarded as closely linked to the overall development of Pakistan.
