Lahore (Turkiye Khabar): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz congratulated the nation on the beginning of the new Hijri year and appealed to the public to avoid differences and divisions during Muharram-ul-Haram, while demonstrating patience, tolerance, and unity.
In her message, she prayed that the new Hijri year would bring peace, prosperity, and stability for Pakistan, the Muslim Ummah, and all of humanity. She said that the year should become a source of progress for the country, national unity, and blessings and mercy for the Islamic world.
The Punjab Chief Minister stated that Muharram-ul-Haram reminds Muslims of the great sacrifice of Imam Hussain. According to her, Imam Hussain’s message of truth, patience, and sacrifice remains a source of courage and steadfastness for the oppressed in every era.
She emphasized that peace, brotherhood, and religious harmony should be promoted during Muharram-ul-Haram so that an atmosphere of unity and solidarity may prevail in society.
Maryam Nawaz further said that special arrangements and effective security measures are being taken across Punjab to ensure the maintenance of law and order during Muharram-ul-Haram.
