Antalya (Turkiye News): Luxembourg’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Xavier Bettel has said that Europe needs to further strengthen its strategic autonomy and enhance consultation processes among allied countries.
Speaking to Anadolu News Agency on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Türkiye, he said that recent geopolitical crises have made it clear that Europe still remains overly dependent on external partners.
He emphasized that the European Union must reduce its reliance on external powers; however, maintaining international partnerships is also essential for global stability.
According to Xavier Bettel, in the current global situation, Europe must reconsider its foreign policy and security strategy in order to play a more independent and effective role.
