Mohsin Naqvi visits US Embassy, discusses Islamabad talks and security arrangements

Islamabad (Turkiye News): Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the US Embassy located in the Diplomatic Enclave, where he met US Ambassador Natalie Baker.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on strengthening Pakistan–US relations and the current regional situation. Both sides also discussed security arrangements for the ongoing second round of talks in Islamabad.

The US ambassador appreciated Pakistan’s role in reducing regional tensions and described it as a positive and responsible diplomatic effort.

On this occasion, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi briefed the US side on the security measures taken during the negotiations, stating that special and stringent arrangements have been made for all foreign guests to ensure that the proceedings continue in a peaceful environment.

He further said that the government is hopeful about the success of the second round of talks in Islamabad and extends its best wishes in this regard.

The meeting was also attended by DG FIA Dr. Usman Anwar, Chief Commissioner Islamabad Sohail Ashraf, IG Islamabad Police Ali Nasir Rizvi, and Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Memon.
