Pakistan Improves Score and Rank in Corruption Perceptions Index

Islamabad (Turkiya News): As a result of institutional reforms, Pakistan’s ranking and score in the 2025 Corruption Perceptions Index have improved. According to the Transparency International report, Pakistan’s overall score increased by one point to 28, earning the country the 136th position.

The report stated that the improvement reflects four years of good governance and ongoing institutional reforms. Significant progress was observed in public sector, administrative, legislative, and judicial corruption indicators, with administrative and judicial corruption improving by up to five points.

Transparency International noted that the 2025 survey included two additional countries, expanding the assessment to 182 nations, compared to 180 countries in the 2024 survey.
